Captured by the Camera - Bridge over Troubled Waters

Bridge over Troubled Waters

This was an experimental picture and was created by photographing the reflection of the Bridge No 4 at Wilstone on the Aylesbury Arm of the Grand Union Canal. To get the ripples a stone was thrown into the water and the reflection was then turned upside down.

The Footbridge at Wilstone. Bridge 4 on the Aylesbury Arm.
Every pattern is different and depends on how smooth the water surface was before the stone was thrown, and the pattern of clouds in the sky. One can easily get completely abstract patterns whci can be modified by altering the contrast and colour balance., as this example, taken this afternoon demonstrates.
